ABOUT
Emeryville is a small city in Alameda County, California. Emeryville is located on the east shore of the San Francisco Bay in Alameda County. It is bordered by the City of Berkeley to its north and the City of Oakland to the east and south. Bounded by interstate freeways 80, 880, and 580, it rests at the east landing of the Bay bridge.
Emeryville was incorporated in 1896 as a city of industry and business at transportation cross-roads. Then, it has remade itself into a dynamic mixed-use community, housing global industries of film-making, biotechnology, software, and other high-tech industries.
Had been heavily industrialized city before the First World War. However, its economy and population have been growing due to its proximity to San Francisco, the Bay Bridge, University of California, Berkeley, and Silicon Valley. Emeryville has grown to an edge city with concentration of business, shopping, and entertainment.
Today, Emeryville became an incubator for entrepreneurs and innovations with retails and entertainment destinations which incorporate arts, food, culture and growing residential community.
