RECAL RESULTS

Our Krippendorff's alpha recal score of 0.719 means that our scores fell between a fair amount of agreement of 0.6 and a very high amount of agreement of 0.8

RESULTS

Looking at each category found in the APA sustainability matrix above, we analyzed the spread of our individual scores for consistency. We found the categories with the smallest spread to be the ones we most agreed were the strongest elements in the Emereyville General Plan. Though our score of 0.719 indicates we were mostly in agreement, there were still areas of disagreement.

Additionally, discrepancies arose due to the fact of the subjectivity of the scoring. Fir example, Matt and MinJi's scores tended to run higher than the group, while Garrett's scores tended to run on the lower side. Despite this our scores ended up in agreement.

ANALYSIS RESULTS

AREAS OF AGREEMENT

Our group found the most similarities in the Content and Characteristics section as well as the Livable Built Environment section. We found the content of the General Plan to be extremely readable and easy to understand, noted through our agreement of scores in these sections.

The Emeryville General Plan scored extremely well in the Livable Built Environment section, which can be attributed to its efforts to promote sustainability through brownfield redevelopment for example, and also through the promotion of walkable and livable urban form.

AREAS OF DISAGREEMENT

Based off our inidvidual scores, we were most in disagreement in the Authentic Participation and Accountable Implementation sections.

These sections were the most lacking in terms of content, and were reflected in the discrepancies of our scores. Our group found it hard to assign points for these sections when much of the content was nonexistant or too vague to properly assign points. We felt this section of the plan could use significant strengthening.
