Acknowledgements

 

The General Plan of Emeryville takes into account the "3 E's of Sustainability": ecology, economy, and equity. The integration of brownfield remediation, stormwater management, use of local transit (Emery Go-Round), and a proper Climate Action Plan has allowed Emeryville to perform well in sustainability efforts. 

 

Under the Krippendorff coefficient, a 0.6 indicates a fair amount of agreement, while a 0.8 indicates a high level of agreement. Our group scored a 0.719 which suggests above a fair amount of agreement in the ranking of Emeryville's scoring matrix. 

 

For future improvements, we recommend the APA scoring matrix to change the scale to 0-4, clearly define scale with examples, reduce the amount of planning and sustainability jargon, and include self-evaluation categories which can be tailored to specific sites and cities being evaluated.
